Another region game, another narrow victory for the Cibola boys soccer team.

Thanks to a 54th-minute penalty kick goal by senior forward Gabriel Claudio, Cibola escaped with a 1-0 victory over San Luis at Raider Field on Tuesday night to remain undefeated at the midway point of 6A Southern-Yuma region play.

The Raiders, who a week and a half ago beat Kofa in overtime, improved to 4-01 AIA and 2-0 region with Tuesday’s victory, while the loss was the first of the season for the Sidewinders (4-1-1, 0-1-1).
