Joseph A. Gagnier Jr., 75, of Yuma, died March 10, 2017, at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Born April 19, 1941, in Portland, Ore., he was owner of Pepperidge Farm Cookies.

A memorial Mass will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11545 E. 40th St.

All Saints Cremation & Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements, with cremation at Desert Valley Mortuary.

Walter Reinhart Steinly

Walter Reinhart Steinly, 88, died March 7, 2017, at his Yuma home. Born May 31, 1928, in Phillip, S.D., he was a business owner and veteran of the U.S. Army. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements, with cremation at Desert Lawn.

Marie A. Cabrales

Marie A. Cabrales, 62, of Yuma, died March 14, 2017, at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 23, 1954, in Yuma, she was a paraprofessional.

A memorial service will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Yuma Mortuary Chapel.

Jerry Jiro Nakasawa Sr.

Jerry Jiro Nakasawa Sr., 76, of Yuma, died March 9, 2017, in San Diego, Calif. Born April 19, 1940, in Colorado, he was a farmer and veteran of the U.S. Army. Services are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Yuma Catholic High School FFA. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Sherman Lee Wilson

Sherman Lee Wilson, 91, of Winterhaven, died March 14, 2017, at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Born April 20, 1925, in El Centro, Calif., he was a construction laborer and veteran of the U.S. Army. No services are planned. Yuma Mortuary and Crematory is handling arrangements.

Harriet W. Alma

Harriet W. Alma, 89, of Yuma, died March 14, 2017, in Yuma.

Born June 23, 1927, in Opus, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, she was a quality control technician.
