Mike Pancrazi and Dave Sellers posted a gross best ball score of 3-under-par 69 on Friday followed by a 1-over-par 73 on Saturday and a 4-under-par 68 on Sunday for a total of 210 to win the Country Club best ball invitation­al last weekend. Peter Sterenberg and Perry Pensky were one stroke back for second place and Eddie Tael and Michael Christense­n were third at 212. Ted Johnson and Chris Orndorff were the best ball net winners with a three-day total score of 185; Dan Dirham and Eric Stechman finished second at one stroke back.

The Coyote Wash Golf Course opened for winter play Saturday with the greens, tee boxes and fairways all reseeded. Players may contact the pro shop at 928-785-4875 for tee times or additional informatio­n.

The Mesa Del Sol Golf Course will close nine holes on Tuesday and the other nine holes on Wednesday for reseeding. Otherwise Mesa Del Sol will have 18 holes open for play every day in October.

Garry Sletten carded 6.23 quota points to win first place in the Mesa Del Sol quota tournament on Monday morning. Garrett McKeeman took second place with 5.2 quota points and Stephen Parrish took third with 4.53 quota points. Sandy and Bob Blair were the fourth- and fifth-place finishers. The skin winners were Stephen Parrish, Pam Upayokin, Mary Kruse, Robert Lauer, Garry Sletten, Bob Rehn and Marilyn Cotter.

On Tuesday morning at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the Men’s Silver gross score winners were Mark Hammons, George Christophe­r and Rollie Harris. The net score winners were George Christophe­r, Frankie Allen and Ed Fries.

Dale Hoch teamed with John Coffey, Shirley Patterson and Sharon Vanone for a scrambling score of 1-under-par 35 to tie the team of Randy Labrasseur, Evelyn Pribble, Okey Green and Dolores Vrooman for first place in the Moose Lodge weekly play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

Pam Herring was the first-place winner in the Mesa Del Sol “Pinky’s Pick” weekly play Wednesday morning, followed by Sam Samples in second place. Al Johnson, Stephen Parrish and Steve Martin tied for third, Nancy Holmes finished sixth and Hank Browning finished seventh. The skin winners were Steve Martin, Hank Browning, Al Johnson, Stephen Parrish, Pam Herring and Sam Samples.

On Wednesday afternoon in the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Twilight League, Mike Havens posted a net score of 34 to win the individual net competitio­n and the summer season point race. Jerry Crump was second and Jeff Buffmyer was third.

On Thursday morning at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the Men’s Copper gross score winners were Rollie Harris, Brian Healy and Larry Garrett. The net score winners were Rollie Harris, Larry Garrett and Brian Healy.

Mike L. St Claire shot a 2-over-par 74 to win the Mesa Del Sol weekly mixed play on Friday morning, with Stephen Martin one stroke back for second gross. Bob Rehn was the net score winner with a 67. The skin winners were Stephen Martin, Mary Kruse, Stephen Parrish, Robert Lauer, Mike St Claire, Wayne Gunion, Albert Johnson, Sam Samples, Nancy Holmes and Jim Mitchell. Mary Kruse used a nine iron to record a hole in one on the 112-yard, par three fifth hole.

The Desert Hills Golf Course is providing the “Get Golf Ready” program, which is a group program that is designed to teach golf students everything they need to know to play golf in five lesions.
