The Yuma Area Veteran’s Associatio­ns fourth annual “Toy Drive Golf Tournament” will be Nov. 18 at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. It is a fourperson team-scramble format. The check-in time is at 7 a.m. and each player is asked to provide a new unwrapped toy. Players may call 928-750-1369 or email rjarchie.1371@gmail.com for entry or additional informatio­n.

Kyle Curtis and Keith Nienast were the firstplace gross-score team winners in the 2017 Yuma Elks Lodge Invitation­al Tournament played at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Oct. 28. The format was two-person teams playing nine holes of best ball and nine of scramble. Second place went to Dave Sellers and Dave Maehling, with Mark Pancrazi and Ron Wood taking third place.

The team skin winners were Dustin Craig and Thom Simmopns, Mark Pancrazi and Ron Wood, Rian Baas and Fred Danmeyer, Trent Erling and Dan Van Vosrt, Rocky Curtis and Roy Puckett and Kody and Jerry Crump.

On Oct. 27, Leonard Apling, Del Olsen, Paul Hamar and Harry Viznei, were the winners in the Friday mixed-league play at the Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course. Bob Duffy, Barry Moore, Vergie Schaaf and Jo Hamar were the secondplac­e finishers.

Connie Donner was the 1st flight winner in the Mesa Del Sol Ladies “Forty Niners” play Monday with a net score of 35. Terri Paden finished in second with a 36.5. Phyllis Mashburn won the second flight with a 37.5, and Sally Manley won second in the second flight with a 39.

On Monday at the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course, the men’s gross-score winners were John Gaskin, Bob Hejkal and Jerry Greene. The men’s net-score winners were Al Smith, Jerry Greene and Michael Costello. The ladies grossscore winners were Lorretta Schnieder, Sharry Sack and Linda Murphy. The ladies net-score winners were Linda Murphy, Erika Ford and Sherry Sack.

Bob Powell teamed with Garrett McKeeman, Raymond Throckmort­on and Stephen Parrish for 84 pro power points to win the first Can/Am weekly play of the season at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Monday. Second place went to the team of Raymond Butler, Kobe Villegas, Sam Samples and a blind-draw partner. The deuce winners were Bob Powell, Stephen Parrish, Ken Givens, Henry Browning and Reg Marshall.

On Tuesday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the men’s silver gross-score winners were Brian Healy, Troy Riechert and Bill Taylor. The net-score winners were Lane Leonard, Ken Spike and Hubert Gartner.

Donna Lalonde was the first-flight winner in the Desert Hills Ladies “blind draw” play Tuesday, with Heather Comeau taking second in the first flight. In the second flight, Gloria Gentry was the winner, and Diane Comeau took second. In the third flight, Karen Gallagher won first place and Trudy Boeitker was second. The KP winners were Karen Gallagher, Heather Comeau, Carol Hindle and Valeri Shoemaker.

Maxine Gatti carried teammates Dale Hoch, Ron Harden and Joey Christense­n to a scrambling even-72 to win first place in the Moose Lodge weekly play Tuesday at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course. Second place went to the team of Bob Lauer, Al Graham, Bud Hammond and Dolores Vrooman with a 1-over 73.

On Tuesday morning in the Men’s League at the Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course, the winners were Harry Viznei, Dave Nicholls, Barry Moore and Bill Johnson. Second place went to Gerry Morrow, Leonard Apling, Cliff Couse and Greg Schaaf.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the men’s grossscore winners were David Richeldenf­en, Rollie Harris and Bill Taylor. The net winners were Rollie Harris, David Rcheldenfe­n and Jack Schenck.

Garry Sletten was the first-place winner in the weekly “Pinky’s Pick” play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday, with Sam Samples finishing in second place. The remaining winners were Jack Parker, Sandra Blair, Stephen Parrish and Marilyn Cotter. The skin winners were Mike Mikkola, Garry Sletten, Stephen Parrish, Ann Weber, Sam Samples, Jack Parker and Ann Weber.

In the Wednesday morning couples league at the Fortuna Del Oro Golf Course, Barry Moore, Evie Moore, Howard Trapnell and Clara Trapnell were the winners. Joan Ronholdt, Jim Ronholdt, Lorraine Farris and Donnis Larson earned second place.

On Wednesday morning at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the women’s league gross-score winners were Loretta Schnieder, Barbara Sanders and Susain Bain. The net-score winners were Delphine Rindal, Susan Bain and Loretta Schnieder.

Juanita Hornung and Joy Mueller were the first flight winners in the Country Club Ladies Scotch Chapman play Thursday. Gail Duffield and Elaine Davis were the secondplac­e finishers. Ellen Scott and Jacque Bater placed third. Jeanette Galko won the KP on the fourth hole, and Dorothy Ammerlaan won the KP on the 12th hole.

On Thursday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the women’s grossscore winners were Val Willick, Dawn Diamond and Geneil Wilson. The net-score winners were Val Willick, Bonnie Jurgens and Geneil Wilson.

On Thursday morning in the Ladies League at the Fortuna Del Oro Golf Course, Wendy Kennedy was the low-gross winner, with Iris Pallis in second. In the net division, Ann Nicholls was the winner, with Rose Wilson taking second net.

On Thursday morning at the Las Barrancaas Golf Course, the men’s gross-score winners were Brian Healy, John Cullen and Rollie Harris. The net score winners were Larry Villa, Larry Nicholson and Rollie Harris.

Pam Upayokin was the first-flight gross score winner in the Mesa Del Sol Ladies play Thursday. Jo-Anne Lambert won the second flight, Judy Larden won the third flight and Julie Winquist was the fourth-flight winner. The net-flight winners were Audrey Dowd, Cheryl Mikkola, Connie Donner, Marilyn Cotter, Dona Conzelman, Lori Lambert, Lorraine Breault, Ann Weber, Pam Brown, Joann Sandstede and Bev Morgan. The skin winners were Anita Wicks, Phyllis Mashburn, Connie Donner, Mary Kruse, Donna Lalonde; Bev Morgan and Ann Weber.
