Tiger spurs highest PGA Tour ratings in 5 years
ORLANDO, Fla. — Tiger Woods was one shot away from a chance to win, and the PGA Tour had its largest television audience in five years.
NBC Sports Group says the final round of the Valspar Championship earned a 5.11 overnight rating, up 190 percent over the previous year and the highest-rated PGA Tour broadcast since Woods won The Players Championship in 2013. That doesn’t include the majors.
Woods, returning from a fourth back surgery, was one shot out of the lead going into the final round. He missed a 40-foot birdie attempt on the 18th hole to force a playoff with Paul Casey.
Not even halfway through the regular season, the Antelope softball team has already matched its 2017 win total.
The Rams extended their winning streak to three games Monday in Wellton with an 18-6 victory over Parker, scoring 15 runs in the first two innings en route to a five-inning mercy rule win against a team they lost to twice a year ago.

Pitcher Katelyn Quinonez struck out eight and limited the Broncs (0-6 AIA, 0-1 region) to only five hits, and all but one of the runs she gave up were unearned.

Catcher Shelby Jones, the team’s leadoff hitter, went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a walk. Cleanup hitter Veronica Leon reached base all four of her plate appearances, while Heidy Rios, Laura Leon and Quinonez had one hit each.
“I liked that some of the girls started hitting,” coach Mike Jorajuria said. “And this team’s always fought, even when it gets down they don’t get down too bad; they always fight, even when they start making some mistakes.”
Most of those mistakes came during Parker’s fiverun third inning that saw seven Broncs reach base in a row at one point — three on errors. But Quinonez and the Rams’ defense settled down from there, as Parker had just three batters reach the rest of the
