Medical plaza gets new name, attorney has new office
Bare Naked Soap moving, new nursing facility coming
Yuma Regional Medical Center Medical Plaza, 1501 W. 24th St., has a new name and address, but it’s still at the same location. On March 5, the facility’s name changed to Parkview Medical Plaza and the address to 2460 S. Parkview Loop.
“This new name and address more accurately reflects the location of the building, resulting in better wayfinding for our community,” YRMC said in a press release.
The name has historic significance. Longtime Yumans might remember that at one time the hospital’s name was Parkview Baptist Hospital.
The plaza is home to many YRMC services and practices such as outpatient surgery, wound care center, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, outpatient laboratory, diagnostic imaging, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, YRMC cardiology, center for bone and joint health and bariatric clinic.
In addition, the public can now go there on Saturdays for everything from lab work to X-rays. The Yuma Regional Medical Center Outpatient Laboratory locations at Parkview and on Frontage Road in the Foothills are now open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. *** Attorney Lisa Whalen Bleich has set up her own law office. The new steakhouse opened Saturday in the Shilo Inn, 1530 S. Castle Dome Ave., and is taking banquet reservations at (928) 955-0201.
Prock also owns a restaurant with the same name in Holtville, California. The name comes from his passion for building hot rods. The eatery’s website describes it as a “steakhouse, bar and event center rolled into one and the ideal place for a great time with friends and family members.”
It serves steak, tacos, beverages and other “must-try” dishes every day. Prock and Fiser invite Yumans to come in for a
