Startup Weekend coming to Yuma March 23-25
Big ideas are wanted for Startup Weekend to be held Friday through Sunday, March 23-25, at the Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University Yuma Campus. It starts at 6 p.m. Friday.
The event will help entrepreneurs develop ideas or find an answer to a problem they’d like to solve but don’t know where or who to start with. Attendees will find possible answers and learn how to develop and validate ideas, create a prototype, work in teams, receive feedback from experienced faculty and entrepreneurs and get recognized for efforts.
Participants will pitch new ideas or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets.
The cost of tickets is $20 for observers and $25 for participants, plus a small processing fee, and includes seven full meals over the course of the weekend; oneon-one time with mentors; a new network of participants representing problem-solvers, developers, designers and entrepreneurs eager to change the world; and all the internet and coffee a person can consume.
