Andrew Gianaros shot a two-day total gross score of 145 to win the Yuma Golf and Country Club, Men’s Club championsh­ip. The overall net club champion was Jim Cuming with a two-day total of 131. Mike Pancrazi was the senior gross division winner with a 152. The gross and net flight winners were Andrew Gianaros and Daniel Durham for ages 49 and under, Mark Pancrazi and Chris Harmon for ages 50-59, Mike Pancrazi and Rick Sanders for ages 60-69, and Larry Johnston and Jim Cuming for ages 70 and up.

The Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n will play their 2018 Men’s Club Championsh­ip April 7-8. The tournament format is individual stroke play with gross and net divisions. Members may contact Bruce Clark at 580-6436 for entry or additional informatio­n.

The annual Hospice golf scramble will be played April 13-14 at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course and the Yuma Golf and Country Club. Players may contact Alysia Munoz at Hospice of Yuma at 928-343-2222 for entry or additional informatio­n.

Lydia Couch won her second consecutiv­e Yuma Golf and Country Club Ladies Club championsh­ip last week with Wendy Paulsen in second place and Juanita Hornung in third. Sue Janney was the net division winner. Kim Walker won the gross division in the first flight with Una Schroter winning the first flight net division. Cora Tucker was the second flight gross division winner with Sandy Williams winning the second flight net division.

On Friday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course the men’s Copper, Silver and Gold gross winners were John Cullen and Carl Fritz. The net winners were Lee Estes and Dennis Handel.

Marty Schwab, Ron Stirler, Ron Breault and Bill Slade were the scramble winners in the Mesa Del Sol MGA weekly play on March 9. Second place went to the team of Tom Mozley, Mike Mikkola, Ken McNeal and Sam Samples.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, Wendy Kennedy was the winner of the gross division of the Ladies Club championsh­ip and Vergie Schaff was the winner of the net division. The flight winners were Linda Wilkie, Lorna Anderson, Lois Dickey, Lillian Holmes, Jane Morrow and Deb Frost. In the Friday “in park” championsh­ip, the men’s low gross winner was John Myers and the ladies low gross winner was Becky Fortie. The men’s low net division winner was Wayne Panas and the ladies low net winner was Donnis Larson.

On Tuesday at the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course, the women’s gross winners were Loretta Schneider, Sherry Sack and Suzanne Hammons. The net winners were Vicki Kleist, Tressa Greene and Laura Nyberg. The team winners were Lois Comeau, Pearl Shreve, Noreen McConnell and Jan Wiebold.

On Monday at the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course the men’s gross winners were Dave Fritz, Billy Taylor and Chuck McNeill. The net winners were Glade Roe, David Richelderf­er and Butch Underhill. The team winners were Dale Palmershei­m, John Kehler, Doug Haun and Steve Strahm.

Arthur and Eileen Grimley teamed with Wayne and Joan Webb and won “Willies Couples” gross score play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course last Sunday afternoon. The net division winners were Howie and Deb Blakney, and Colin and Louise Bottem. Willie is doing very well after his surgery and is home now and Darla Peterson is having a hard time getting him to sit down, shut up, rest and follow her instructio­ns.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the Friday mixed league scramble winners were Dave Nicholls, Jerry Morden, Pete Barber and Barb Dahme. In second were Diana Tucker, Ann Nicholls, Paul Hamar and Mike Voie.

On Tuesday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the men’s silver gross winners were Frank Russell, Keith Planidin and Steve Gartner. The net winners were Dennis Christophe­r, John Emerson and Al Peterson. The team winners were Lauren Young, Gary Hill, Dale Clarke and Mike Meyer.

Steve Parrish, Tip Johnson, Bill Pearson and Leonard Berube were the winners in the weekly Can/Am play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Monday morning. Ron Breault, Norm Dowd, Martin Ritchie and Alan Young were the second-place team finishers. The deuce pot winners were Wayne Webb, Curt Peterson, Garry Davidson, Wayne Gunion, Matt Whittaker, Gordon Little, Garrett McKeeman, Jim Peterson, Norman Berube, Ron Breault and Raymond Butler.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course last week, the Saturday day/night winners were Doug Bolin, Keith Tucker, Louie Neuberger and Laureen Vatne, with Jim Dooley, Doug Shafer, Jeff Vanhaastre­et and Kim Maguire taking second.

Diane Comeau and Diane Peters tied for first place in the first flight of the Desert Hills Women’s Golf League play on Tuesday morning. In the second flight, Linda Scott and Bette McGrath tied for first place. The KP winners were Diane Comeau, Bette McGrath and Donna Lalonde. Congratula­tions are extended to Bette McGrath for winning the Desert Hills Women’s Net Medallion play.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the Tuesday men’s league winners were Leonard Apling, Ray Lambert and Gord Dietz with Pat Ginther, Cliff Couse and Murry Corey taking second.

Henry Browning was the first-place winner in the weekly “Pinky’s Pick” mixed couples play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning with Albert Johnson taking second and David Doherty taking third. The skin winners were Cheryl Mikkola, Henry Browning, Stephen Parrish, Wayne Webb, Joan Webb and Gerald Larrabee.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the Wednesday Couples League best ball winners were Phyllis Duffy, Paul Hamar and Jo Hamar with Garry Dixon, Carmie Dixon, Barry Moore and Evie Moore taking second.

The gross score team winners from the Cocopah Ladies F.O.N.E. play on Wednesday morning were Gina Brown, Jane Blair and Terrie Helman. The secondplac­e gross finishers were Judy Eichman, Charmaine Bird, Carol Poirier and Marian Marston with Gwen Failler, Gloria Michalenko, Carol Rye and Mary Alice Sanders taking third. The net score team winners were Nina Nyman, Deb Waples and Carmine Wright with Barb Ambrose, Denice Heblich, Anita Rentas and Becky Hazen taking second and Flo Curran, Gwen Carson, Della Cook and Deb Smith taking third.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the men’s gross winners were Jerry Denny, David Richelderf­er and Dave Fritz. The net winners were Leon Peterson, Danny Hevton and Al Pittman. The team winners were Jack Schenck, Bill Taylor, Dale McKee and Tom Gsell.

Garry Sletten, Reg Marshall, Terry Matthews and David Burtt won first place in the “Krogman Follies” play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning with 80 pro power points. Fred Hancewiez, Bert Scott, Marty Schwab and Norm Berube were the second-place team finishers with 79 pro power points. Hugh Strain, Tony Kossey, Ron Breault and Charles Butts were in third with 73 pro power points.

On Wednesday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the women’s gross winners were Loretta Schneider and Dorothy Gartner. The net winners were Barb Souter and Myrna Hammer-meister. The team winners were Sherry McIver, Marilyn Denny, Laurie Russell and Madge Flint.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the Thursday Ladies League winner was Wendy Kennedy with Nancy Ostrum taking second and Joyce Starkey taking third.

On Thursday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the women’s gross winners were Loretta Schneider, Susan Clarke and Laurie Russell. The net winners were Chris Tastad, Elaine Corbet and Sally Brownbill. The team winners were Pat Ranstad, Vickie Steelman, Geneil Wilson and Carole Murphy.

Mike Mikkola and Wayne Webb won first place in the gross division of the Mesa Del Sol MGA best ball play on Friday morning. The net division winners were Wayne Gunion and Ron Stirler, with Sam Boyd and Warren Ohland taking second.

Hole-in-one congratula­tions are extended to Brian Gardiner for his hole in one on the 10th hole at the Desert Hills Par 3 Golf Course. This was his first ace after playing golf for the past 20 years. Wayne Burchett also aced the 10th hole for his second hole in one.

Leona Miller made a hole in one on the 15th hole at the Desert Hills Par 3 Course. It was her first hole in one after eight years of golf.

Hole-in-one congratula­tions also go out to Dorothy Gartner for her ace at the Las Barrancas Golf Course on the third hole and to Burt Crawford for his ace at the Foothills Executive Golf Course on the eight hole.

Carolyn Tainsh was the first flight winner in the Mesa Del Sol Ladies IDA play on Monday morning with Audrey Dowd in second. Jo-Anne Lambert won the second flight, Judy Larden won the third flight and Jo-Anne Givens won the fourth flight.

On Thursday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the men’s copper gross winners were BJ McKay, Hubert Gartner and Brian Healy. The net winners were Jim Danielewic­z, David Richelderf­er and Mark Parks. The team winners were John Cullen, Lee Estes, Dennis Handel and Frank Russell.
