Deadline to submit nominations for Excellence in Education is Friday
The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce has extended the deadline for nominations for the S. June Pallack Award for Excellence in Education award until Friday.
Anyone can nominate a deserving non-teaching professional in education, from kindergarten to postsecondary education in the Yuma County area.
There are seven categories to choose from for 2018: Student Support staff, School Staff Person, Volunteer, Board Member, Instructional Support Staff, Administrator and Business Partner.

BBB seminar ‘Generational Marketing’ set for April 18
For businesses who want to learn how to capture the attention of the next generation of consumers, the Better Business Bureau will be holding a “Generational Marketing” seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on April 18.
Randy Nelson, director of the Arizona Western College Small Business Development Center, will be the guest speaker. He will talk about how businesses can connect to Millennials, the market’s most choosy but also most loyal to demographic.
He will explain generational marketing, the differences between Millennials, GenX and Boomers and how to identify the best market for a business.
