Chinese should stay out of North Korea situation

-

The negotiations with North Korea will be watched by tyrants around the world. Negotiations with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, will be doubly hard because of the bad deal Obama made with Iran. One can bet the farm the United States will not offer Kim pallets full of money like Obama did with the Iranians. I believe what we will offer North Korea is PEACE. Kim has been able to rule his country by convincing the people of North Korea that the U.S. and South Korea are about to invade the North. This wartime footing has been used by dictators forever to control their populace, leaders like Stalin, Mao, and Hitler, just to name a few. We can’t forget the only news North Korea receives is from the North Korean government. North Korea has only a handful of radios and televisions that can receive outside stations.

South Korean President Moon Jaein seems to be getting weak knees when it comes to joining the United States and Japan in air patrols. One hopes the leader of South Korea can explain his absence from these patrols by saying Japan and the United States can put the point across. One would hope that President Trump would put it to the South Korean leader that United States could easily pull our troops out of South Korea and let the chips fall where they may. In the last Korean War the United States lost over 33,000 men. Without a doubt there will be no halt to the war for any reason until it’s finished. Trump should also make it plain to the Chinese to stay out of it. In the last Korean War, the Chinese lost over 180,000 soldiers. RED CHANDLER Yuma
