Wynona J. Burkett, 89, died June 10, 2018, in Yuma. Born Jan. 9, 1929, in Eldorado, Okla., she was a realtor. Cremation will take place at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Crematory. Funeraria Del Angel Kammann is handling the arrangements.

Yoneko Okada

Yoneko Okada, 92, of Yuma, died June 2, 2018. Born Aug. 21, 1925, in Huntington Park, Calif., she was a homemaker.

Cremation will take place at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Crematory. Johnson Mortuary is handling the arrangements.

Marcela “Chela” Pedraza

A wake for Marcela “Chela” Pedraza will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel. The rosary will be at 7 p.m. with Deacon Jeff Trujillo.

Born Feb. 19, 1979, she died June 5, 2018, in Phoenix. She was a cannery laborer.

Burial will be at Colonia la Puerta in Mexicali, B.C., Mexico.

A private cremation has been entrusted to Desert Valley Mortuary.

William James Ryan Jr.

William James Ryan Jr., 70, of Yuma died June 10, 2018, at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Born May 2, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was the owner and operator of a sewing machine repair shop and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. No services are planned. Yuma Mortuary and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

Julia Green Valdez

Julia Green Valdez, 60, died June 7, 2018, in Yuma. Born Sept. 4, 1957, she worked in human resources at Arizona Corrections in San Luis, Ariz.

A rosary is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, with funeral services to follow at 9:30 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Desert Valley Mortuary and Crematory.
