An excessive heat warning was issued by the National Weather Service for Wednesday, which expired at 8 p.m. The high temperature was forecast to be 111 degrees. Today, the forecast is for a high near 106 degrees, with a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday, with a forecast high of 96 degrees.
