• Texas upset my alma mater Oklahoma Sooners Saturday in a game that always takes me back to my rollicking years on the OU campus. As a testimony to my scholastic achievement, my photo is still on the wall at the Norman Post Office. I’ll bet you’ve never seen a signed Wanted Poster before.

• The Rolling Stones will bring out a 50th anniversary of their Beggars Banquet album which has been remastered on vinyl. We need to appreciate them while we can. I don’t want to say Mick Jagger is getting up there, but the package includes his new hit single Hey, You, Get Off of My Lawn.

• Democrats said a mere plurality of Senate votes for Supreme Court confirmations create what the Founders called a tyranny of the majority. The majority never agrees with that. Republicans say that if the Democrats don’t like Kavanaugh’s confirmation they can take it to the Supreme Court.
