PREP GIRLS GOLF Gerber, Hawks win

The Gila Ridge girls golf team capped its regular season with a victory Tuesday at Lake Havasu.

The Hawks, who entered

the day ranked No. 14 in Division II, posted a 196, followed by Lake Havasu in second at 207 (Cibola was also there, but did not record a team score).

Gila Ridge’s Kylee Gerber captured medalist honors with a 2-over 38, while teammate Caitlyn Grant (43) came in second.

Gerber, who entered the day ranked No. 32, is likely to continue her season at state, while Grant (No. 54) could also possibly get in individual­ly.

Brianna Arriaga (10 kills, 16 aces) and Andrea Guinn (21 assists, 7 aces) led the way for the Warriors (9-4 AIA, 4-1 region), who won by set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-13 and 25-15.
