Yumans woke up to a fog-shrouded Thursday, which lifted by mid morning. A young boy (above) bound for Yuma High School makes his way across the 3rd Street bridge over the East Main Canal in the early hours. Motorists (right) navigate their way through the mist along 8th Street in the early hours.

Early on the mist was everywhere, including Gateway Park, where the Ocean-To-Ocean Highway Bridge (left) was a faint outline of itself in the early hours. A woman takes a walk in the park (above).

Visibility was low as motorists in Yuma were greeted by smog early Thursday morning. The Pancrazi Building (right) at 4th Avenue and 16th Street is reduced to a silhouette in the mist during the early hours.
