BOS plans an auction of property

The Yuma County Board of Supervisor­s is scheduled to auction off an excess property it owns at 12107 S. Sandra Drive in the Foothills during its Monday meeting.

The 11,560 square-foot parcel with a doublewide trailer was purchased for a street improvemen­t project on 40th Street between Avenue 12E and Foothills Boulevard, and is no longer needed.

The appraised value of the land is $60,000 and the minimum bid will be $54,000.

The meeting will begin 9 a.m. Monday at the Board of Supervisor­s’ Auditorium at 198 S. Main St. Other agenda items include:

• Approval of 12 requests for commuting vehicle usage for calendar year 2019.

• Appointmen­t of Patty Ogden to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System and Correction­s Officer Retirement Plan boards.

• Approval of a starting salary for the public works manager-highway maintenanc­e position, which is above the midpoint for that job’s range.

The meeting will be broadcast on the county’s cable channel, Yuma77, and webcast and available for later viewing at www.yumacounty­az.gov and the Yuma County Government Facebook page.
