Assuming office

San Luis, Ariz., Mayor Gerardo Sanchez signs a document (in photo below) certifying that he has been sworn in for a new term of office. Sanchez and San Luis council members (from left in photo above) Africa Luna, Jose Ponce and Mario Buchanan took the oath of office during a special council session on Tuesday. Sanchez, Luna and Buchanan, all incumbents, were re-elected while Ponce won his first term in the city’s primary election in August.
