Boys hoops: Raiders beat Southwest (Calif.)

The Cibola boys basketball team built a cushion in the first half and went on to a 52-39 win Friday night at Southwest (Calif.).

Cibola (6-4 AIA) was led by Jason Sandoval (15 points, 4 rebounds) and Adrian Hernandez (13 points, 4 steals). Four other players scored at least seven points for the Raiders, who got the win despite committing 28 turnovers.

Cibola next plays Friday at Gila Ridge.
