On Dec. 28 at the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the mixed scramble winners were Rick Erickson, Chuck Arntsen, Kevin Burnside and Sonya Phillips. Second place went to the team of Jim Phillips, Howard Trapnell, Carolyn Thomas and Cynthia Kerr. Third place went to the team of Keith Tucker, Chuck Peterson Lois Dickey and Lee Crowley.

Joan and Wayne Webb teamed with Shirley and Mr. Rutledge for a scrambling gross score of 64 to win first place in “Willies Couples” play at Mesa Del Sol on Sunday afternoon. Noreen and Brian McConnell and Jeannie and Tom McFarlane were the net division winners with a score of 61.1.

The Mesa Del Sol Golf Club will host a Senior Stroke Play Tournament on Jan. 12-13. The entry fee is $100 and women’s and men’s flights will be grouped by age beginning with those over 50. There will be payouts for both gross and net scoring. Entry forms are available in the golf shop.

At Mesa Del Sol on Monday morning, Larry Colao, Wayne Webb, Lynn Thompson and a blind draw partner were the first-place winners of the Can/Am three-best-ball team play. Second place went to the team of Ron Stirler, Glen Rost, Sam Boyd and Gerald Larrabee, while third place went to the team of Tom Mozley, Matt Whittaker, Garry Sletten and Terry Matthews.

Tom Mozley won the KP on the fifth hole and Gerald Larrabee won the KP on the 13th hole. The Deuce Pot winners were Jay MacPherson, Ron Breault, Roger Leblanc, Ron Stirler, Larry Colao, Wayne Webb (2), Allan Young, Ken McNeil and Tom Mozley. The front nine team skin winners on the first hole were Ron Breault, Roger Leblanc, Jerry Timm and Henry Browning. The back nine team skin winners on the 12th hole were Tom Mozley, Matt Whittaker, Garry Sletten and Terry Matthews.

On Monday at the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course, the men’s league gross score winners were Jim Carter, Bob McAllister and Steve Strom. The net score winners were Bob Leith, Tom Mix and Butch Underhill. The team winners were Jim Fly, Dick Saegert, Ken Kajita and John Verretto.

On Tuesday at the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the men’s club winners were David Mclane, Cliff Couse and Edra Parker. The second-place finishers were Kevin New, Jim Stines, Gerry Gellner and Don Schoenig, while the third-place finishers were Bob Duffy, Greg Schaaf, Ron Siring and Charley Kline.

Connie Donner won first place in the Mesa Del Sol ladies “best nine holes” play on Monday morning, followed by Mary Kruse in second place. In the second flight, Ann Weber, Jo-Anne Lambert and Darla Peterson tied for first place. In the third flight, Eunice Hoffman was the winner with Linda Hughes taking second place.

Ann Weber was the top winner in the “Pinky’s Pick” play at Mesa Del Sol on Wednesday morning, followed by Cheryl Mikkola in second and Cliff Weber in third. Bob Blair, Hank Browning and Mike Mikkola were the remaining winners.

On Tuesday at Las Barrancas, the Silver League gross score winners were Steve Gartner, B.J. McKay and Don Flint. The net score winners were Dennis Hammermeis­ter, Steve McClure and Gary Hill. The team winners were Ray Morris, Ron Thacker, Jake Derksen and Butch Robideau.

Wayne Gunion, Reg Marshall, John Droog and Norm Berube were the winning team in the “Krogman Follies” play on Wednesday morning at Mesa Del Sol; Len Berube, Tom Mozley, Bob Rehn and Gordon Little took second place.

On Wednesday at the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the mixed doubles winners were Harry Viznei, Shirley Viznei, Kevin New and Lorraine Farris. The second-place finishers were Rick Gillen, Syd Thomas and Carolyn Thomas. The third-place finishers were Jim Phillips, Sonya Phillips, Jim Thomas and Donna Walker.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the men’s league gross score winners were David Richelderf­er, Frank Russell and Jerry Denny. The net score winners were Larry Nicholson, Tim Weir and Butch Ritten. The team winners were Ray Morris, Guy Follett, Lee Estes and Ron Thacker.

Connie and Rod Donner won Low Net in the Mesa Del Sol Hangover Open on New Year’s Day. The Donners shot a best ball score of 62. Jo-Anne Lambert and Shannon Mason were second with a 65. Jonathan Kennedy defeated Gary Golembiski in a putt off for Low Gross. Kennedy and David Givens had tied Golembiski and Marlene McQuilken at 78.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the women’s league gross score winners were Susan Clarke and Loretta Schneider. The net score winners were Betsy Williams and Janet Slocum. The team winners were Dona Laidlaw, Reta Boechler, Susan Jones and Norie Meza.

Selma Cusick was the first flight gross score winner in the Mesa Del Sol ladies hardest nine holes and skins play on Thursday morning. Colleen Scott won the second flight and Linda Hughes won the third flight. The first and second place net score flight winners were Joan Webb, and Cheryl Mikkola, Jo-Anne Lambert and Sue Morgenthal­er, and Sally Manley and Jeannie Browning. The gross and net skin winners were Shannon Mason, Selma Cusick, Darla Peterson, Joan Webb and Jeannie Browning.

On Thursday at Las Barrancas, the Copper League gross score winners were Keith Planidin, Mark Hammons and Frank Russell. The net score winners were Bill Taylor, Al Smith and Gary Hill. The team winners were Steve Gartner, Lee Estes, Don Mathews and Dennis Handel.

On Thursday at the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course, the Ladies Club winners were Ann Nicholls, Joyce Steffan, Judy Zehrung and Donna Wilkie. The secondplac­e finishers were Lynn Reige, Mary Jo Brough and Teresa Gordon. The thirdplace finishers were Linda Hughes, Donna Tucker and Janine Leniuk

Jack Parker was the top winner in the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Golf Associatio­n quota play event on Friday morning. Sam Samples took second place, Ron Miller took third, Bob Blair took fourth, David Givens took fifth and Gordon Little took sixth.
