and moved the store to last location, which used to be a seed company. *** Vape and smoke shops seem to be popping up everywhere. One of the newest is Big Cloud Vape and Smoke Co., which set up shop at 845 W. 32nd Street. Big Cloud carries vape, glass, hookah, mods, CBD products and more.

The owner is Chris Mattia, who owns several shops in San Diego, Calif. His cousin, Steve Mattia, is running the Yuma store. Asked what makes Big Cloud different, Steve said, “Good customer service and a fully stocked and clean place.”

One thing it doesn’t carry is tobacco. “We want people to switch to vape so they can quit smoking (tobacco),” Steve said.

And this is the reason his cousin Chris first opened a vape shop. “People want to quit smoking, and he wanted to give them another alternative to smoking,” Steve explained.

Reach Big Cloud at 928294-1078. *** The Foothills GNC store located in the Fortuna Commons shopping center, 11259 S. Frontage Road, will close Feb. 15 and the product will be moving to Yuma Palms.

The store, which is a retail chain selling health- and sports-related vitamins, supplements and herbs, plus drinks and snacks, sent a letter to customers, one of which shared the information with me (thank you!).

The store will still have two Yuma locations, one in the Yuma Palms Regional Shopping Center at 1418 S. Yuma Palms Parkway, Suite 5, and on the Marine Corps Air Base in Building 965 on Martini Avenue.

Until it closes, the Foothills store can be reached at 928-342-7084. *** Yuma’s Commercial Construction Project Update for this week follows:
