Munoz receives 2 awards at ceremony
SAN LUIS, Ariz. — San Luis City Hall recently honored employees for job performance and for years of service to the city.
Among those recognized during a city council session on Wednesday was Maria Muñoz, a benefits coordinator in the city’s human resources department, who was presented with two awards, Employee of the Year for 2018 and Employee of the fourth quarter of 2018.
Muñoz, who joined the city a year ago, was honored for what the awards nominating committee said was her “ability to successfully complete a wide range of extra work and demanding tasks over several months.”
The Award of Excellence for the fourth quarter went to the city’s public works department, while the maintenance division of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department received the Award of Achievement.
Richard Bauermann, an inspector for the San Luis Fire Department, received the Customer Service Award, and Estela Diaz, a janitorial employee was chosen as New Employee of the Year. Bauermann was also honored for 10 years of service with the city.
Maria Sabori, a risk management employee in the human resources, was honored for 20 years of service. Socorro Ayala, a police department employee, and Angelica Cifuentes, a finance employee, were recognized for 15 years of services.
Honored for five years of service were Ramon Dueñas, Luis Gil and Edgar Herrera, all public works department employees, and Peter Juarez, a police department employee.
