So be patient and stay tuned ... *** The newly remodeled Burger King, 581 E. 16th St., opened Saturday of last week. This restaurant replaced the one that closed at 24th Street and 4th Avenue.
The restaurant located at the corner of 16th Street and Riley Avenue was originally built in 1993 and had been closed for a few years. Like the other BKs in Yuma, this one underwent extensive remodeling, including a brand new exterior facade, the addition of a second drive-thru lane and new parking lot lighting, signs and landscaping.
Barnett Management took over the Yuma Burger Kings in early 2017 with plans to invest $7 million in remodeling the existing restaurants and building two new restaurants. The company has three other Burger King locations in Yuma: 620 E. Main St. in Somerton, 1501 S. Avenue B and 11235 S.
