Good idea to improve ACA, not start over
I don’t know what is more worrisome: That presidential campaigning for 2020 has already started, or some of the ideas that are coming out of those campaigns.
Medicare For All has been a major focus out of these early Democrat candidates, and it’s alarming that people think that this is a realistic option for our healthcare future. Kicking off 180 million people from their insurance and putting them onto a governmentrun system where you won’t be able to pick your own doctors sounds like a nightmare to me.
Additionally, we will see our taxes rise tremendously and patient access would be limited.
I think Democrats would be wise to think smaller, and improve the Affordable Care Act we already have.
The new Democrats we elected here in Arizona, like Congresswoman Kirkpatrick or Senator Sinema, feel that is the route, and I hope the national Democrats follow suit. KATE BRADFORD Yuma
