YCNHA welcomes Priscilla Starr
The Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area has welcomed Priscilla Starr as its newest team member. She joins the team as accounting manager.
Starr has a background as an accounting professional and a leader of finance teams. After earning bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Southern Illinois University, her career has been diverse.
In addition to years spent as a certified public accountant for Peat Marwick and two smaller firms in the Midwest, Starr worked in private industry for The Tribune Company and for smaller privately held corporations specializing in leading teams through organizational growth, systems integrations and process improvements.
New to Yuma, Starr sees this transition to the nonprofit sector as a learning opportunity and is excited to join the team’s efforts to move the organization forward.
When not working, Starr and her husband enjoy the walking and biking the trails in Yuma, and they love discovering the restaurants and small business gems that call Yuma home.
