It’s not too late to enter the City Championships. May 21st is the entry deadline. Sign up in the pro shop at Desert Hills. In the Foothills Executive in Men’s league play Rollie Harris and Ken Kingston were the gross winners. Greg Beatie and Al Smith won net.

In the Las Barrancas in Silver Men’s league play John Cullen and Carl Fritz were the gross winners. Greg Beatie and Larry Nicholson won net. Larry Villa, Bill Wagner, Al Pittman and Ken Griffin won the team event. In the Las Barrancas Copper Men’s league Mark Parks, Mark Hammons and Carl Fritz were the gross winners. Larry Garrett, Al Pittman and Bill Tayler won net.

At Mesa del Sol in the Moose Lodge scramble Randy Stickles, Sonny Strickland, Diana Bird and Carol Johnson shot 68 to tie the team of Dale Hoch, Frank Domantry, WOJO and Loretta Holland. Ron Hardin, Joyce Martin, Sharon Vanoni and Bud Hammond were third.

At Mesa del Sol, Phyllis Mashburn was the winner in the Monday Quota competition with Jack Parker second and Hank Browning third. In the Wednesday Pinky’s Picks the winners were Bill Dowding first, George Christopher second and Bob Lauer third.

In the Mesa del Sol Men’s Wednesday Twilight league 2-man combined total event Mason Morris and David Ramirez won low gross with a 77. Dean Wolfe and Tark Rush won low net in a score card

playoff with a 70. Howie Jorajuria and Quinn Martin were second. Ernie Jimenez leads the Spring Points Race with Mike Havens, Denney McKay and Mike Daily close behind. The league plays every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Cost is $35 per player.

In the Mesa del Sol Friday Twilight league Shamble Jonathan Kennedy and Gary Golembiski shot 32 to win low gross. Jim Wright and Brad Grosse won low net in a scorecard playoff with a 30. Fred Thacker and Shane Marquit were second. Denney Kay and Mike Daily were third with a 31. The league plays every Friday at 5:00 p.m. Cost is $30 per player and is open to women’s, men’s or mixed teams.

In the Mesa del Sol Friday Mixed 2-person best ball Joyce and Steve Martin shot 71 to win low gross. Sam Samples and David Doherty shot 56 to win low net. George Christopher and Phyllis Mashburn were second net.

Bill Wagner scored a Hole in One on the 16th hole at Las Barrancas.
