Train system in Yuma doesn’t make sense
This is the first time ever I am responding to an editorial!
I am very annoyed that I cannot easily visit my son in San Diego. It is unbelievable that:
1) the train comes through in the middle of the night at a less than desirable location in downtown Yuma.
2) it makes one go through Los Angeles first before arriving in San Diego.
In other words, it is not doable.
We are senior citizens and we always have to drive over the mountains to reach San Diego.
Furthermore, we are adding to pollution.
I think improving the infrastructure of the trains would more than pay itself off, especially since there is no plane service from Yuma, Arizona to San Diego.
I think it is very sad that in these current times the train service is wholly inadequate.
Please put me on a list so that I can become aware of any progress being made on fixing this railroad system.
Thank you.
