Community flag puts patriotic pride on display

- RICKY RINEHART

On July 4, 2019, the United States of America celebrated its 243rd birthday. On Independence Day, July 4, 2019, Yuma celebrated with the dedication and raising of our “Community Flag” located at the crossroads of Interstate 8 and 16th Street. The City of Yuma is known far and wide for its deep commitment to our military and country. With this gift of the greatest icon in the world, the flag of the United States of America, that sense of pride is on display for all to see and enjoy.

From this day forward, all that live and pass through our community will be reminded of what a great city Yuma is and that our “colors” run deep.
