Dr. Ragesh Panikkath, electrophysiology/ cardiologist, joins YRMC
Dr. Ragesh Panikkath, an electrophysiology/cardiologist, has joined to Yuma Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Panikkath most recently lived in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where he completed an electrophysiology fellowship at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
He also conducted electrophysiology fellowships at Cedars Sinai Medical School in Los Angeles and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in Trivandrum, India.
He completed general cardiology fellowships at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute, as well as at Texas Tech University Health
Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he was honored as chief cardiology fellow.
Dr. Panikkath graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Thrissur Government Medical College in Thrissur, Kerala, India.
During his time at Texas Tech University, the doctor was credited with identifying and naming a new syndrome – Haboob Lung Syndrome – which involves the impact on health following the large dust storms sometimes called haboobs.
YRMC Specialty Clinics welcomes neurologist Dr. Nancy Bello
Dr. Nancy Bello has joined the Yuma Regional Medical Center Specialty Clinics as an outpatient neurologist.
She moved to Yuma from Mesa, where she worked for Banner Medical Group/ Banner Health.
Dr. Bello earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Georgia Campus) in Suwanee, Georgia.
She completed an EMG/ clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego and a neurology residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
She is board certified in neurology and in EMG/ electrodiagnostic medicine.
Gina Botello now treating patients at Yuma Regional Behavioral Health
Gina Botello recently joined Yuma Regional Behavioral
Health as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Botello attends to patients living with depression, anxiety-related conditions, phobias, ADHD, addiction, PTSD, eating disorders and many other behavioral health conditions.
Botello started her career working as a registered nurse in nearby Imperial County, California. After completing a master’s degree in nursing and a postgraduate Family Nurse Practitioner certificate, she worked in Somerton and San Luis, Arizona, as a family nurse practitioner. She joins YRMC after completing additional training in advanced practice psychiatric nursing.
Botello earned her master’s in nursing and a postgraduate Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix. She completed her post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certificate in psychiatric mental health from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner degree.
