Up 2 Par opens Foothills clinic
Deason Garner & Hansen now has realty team; Sage and Sand moving to new place
Up 2 Par Medical Clinic opened its new office in the Foothills on Monday. The office is now providing all levels of primary care at 11463 S. Foothills Blvd.
The new Foothills location is an extension of the Yuma office located at 2775 S. 8th Ave. and will feature Dr. Martha Alemayehu (family practice) and Dr. Hilary Smith, a family nurse practitioner.
The primary care clinic is “dedicated to exceeding the medical expectations of Yumans,” spokeswoman Olga Mariscal said.
According to the clinic’s website, the golf-themed clinic was the brainchild of Dr. Robert Smythe. It explains that many years ago, Dr. Smythe and Annie Snyder, a certified physician assistant, worked together at another clinic in Yuma and dreamed of practicing medicine in “a better way.”
The golf theme is a way to personalize the work performed at the clinic and provide an atmosphere where staff would be comfortable and that patients would enjoy.
“Annie does not play golf, yet, but Dr. Smythe, his wife and his children all play golf,” the website says.

*** The law firm of Deason Garner & Hansen, 6024 E. 32nd St., has opened a new business, Deason Garner & Hansen Realty Team, at the same address. However, Realtor Savannah Bañuelos noted that it’s a completely separate entity.
