Don’t quit
An interesting statement recently arrested my attention, “It is not how much you know about life, but how you live it that counts.” I have given this remark considerable reflection. Think about this, Satan knows what is right … he doesn’t do it.
By observing the mistakes of others, we can avoid disappointments. Our world is full of questions. Those who have preceded us provide clear perspective in doing the right thing, at the right place, at the right time. Their successes and failures are to our benefit at their expense.
An athlete was never made by excellent coaching. A soldier will not achieve training by reading a manual. God’s evaluation of success is, “doing” what is right, not “knowing” what is right. Listening and learning is not enough.
Sustaining wisdom was given 3,000 years ago by King Solomon, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for there is no work, or device, or knowledge, or wisdom, in the grave,” Ecclesiastes 9:10. Find what is right and give it your best!
