The Yuma Police Department is informing the community that two convicted Level 2 sex offenders have notified the agency that they are now residing at new addresses within the city limits.

C.J. Mireles Corralejo, 31, is now residing at 5990 E. 32nd Street, Lot 13, in Yuma. He is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Corralejo is not wanted by the YPD at this time, but is considered a mediumrisk to re-offend.

On Dec. 12, 2006, was convicted on one count of attempted molestation of a child and one count of molestation of a child with sexual motivation.

Henry Laurel, 50, is now residing at 128 W. 32nd Street.

He is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 194 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Laurel is not wanted by the YPD at this time, but is considered a medium-risk to re-offend.

On April 2, 1999, Laurel was convicted on one count of sexual conduct with a minor.

He was also convicted on one count violation of failure to register as a sex offender on June 27, 2012.

The YPD is releasing the following information pursuant to the Community Notification on Sex Offenders Law. It is the responsibility of the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction where the offender resides to make notification to the community.

Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona State Prison, accepted under an interstate compact or released from the county jail back into the community.

Sex Offenders have always lived within communities; but because of Megan’s law, law enforcement is now able to share this information with the public.

The YPD has no legal authority to direct where a sex offender may or may not live. Unless court ordered restrictions exist, this offender is constitutionally free to live wherever he/she chooses.

Residents who abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass sex offenders will not be tolerated.
