From Sunday, Feb. 9, through Saturday. Feb. 15, the Yuma Fire Department responded to 381 emergency calls for service:
• 13 General Fire Response
Including: A gas leak in a building, a fire in an office computer, a small brush fire, and various alarms
• 5 Mutual Aid
Including: Called to assist Rural/Metro with 5 emergency medical calls in the county
• 26 Motor Vehicle Crashes
Including: 1 involving 4 vehicles, 1 involving a wall, and 3 involving rollover crashes
• 302 Other Medical Emergencies (serious to minor)
Including: 43 for difficulty breathing, 18 for chest pain, 43 for falls, 24 for unconscious people, 12 seizure cases, 3 possible stroke cases, 6 for intoxicated people, 3 for persons under the influence of drugs, 1 for a drug overdose, 20 for people with psychiatric problems, 6 for medical alarms, 3 for allergic reactions, 20 for altered or decreased level of consciousness, 3 for fevers, 5 for diabetic emergencies, 4 for man down calls, 1 for burned feet, 1 for burned arms, 2 for bad headaches, 2 for gunshot wounds, 3 for assaults, 7 for back pain, 11 for abdominal pain, 2 pregnancy related, 1 for a deceased person, 4 for lacerations, 1 for a person who accidently drank nail polish remover, and other illnesses and injuries
