Golden Knights blank Coyotes

LAS VEGAS – Marc-Andre Fleury enjoyed watching legendary goaltender­s Ed Belfour and Patrick Roy while growing up in Canada.

On Sunday, he moved into ties with two of his childhood idols.

Tomas Nosek scored the game’s lone goal, Fleury stopped 14 shots and the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Arizona Coyotes 1-0 on Sunday.

With the win, Fleury snapped a season-high

three-game losing streak and tied Belfour for fourth in NHL history with 484 wins.

Fleury, who improved to 3-0 against Arizona this season, also moved into a tie for 15th on the career list with Patrick Roy with 66 shutouts.

“Pretty big honor,” said Fleury, who overcame another game with a lack of goal support from the normally high-scoring Knights. “I’m very fortunate I’ve played with some great teams, a lot of great teammates, I’m very fortunate to be here now.”

Vegas, which ranks seventh in the league with 3.26 goals per game, scored just one goal for the fifth time in Fleury’s past seven starts. Since
