The new episode “American Oz” explores the life and times of author L. Frank Baum, creator of one of America’s most beloved literary classics. When “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” was published in 1900, Baum was 44 and had spent most of his life going through jobs ranging from chicken breeder to marketer of petroleum products to traveling salesman, with mixed results. Unfortunat­ely, Maddox and Ferris (Norbert Leo Butz, Anjali Jay) have their own plans for the best way to carry out this mission. Scroobius Pip also stars in the new episode “Spaceman.”
