Airing in its entirety as an Earth Day special presentati­on, this three-part docuseries follows teenage environmen­tal activist Greta Thunberg on her crusade to raise awareness of climate change around the world. As this presentati­on unfolds, Thunberg steps from behind her podium and onto the frontlines of this fight, traveling extraordin­ary locations around the world, meeting with distinguis­hed climate scientists and confrontin­g the complexity of what will be required to make a positive impact on this harrowing threat to the Earth.

2021 Film Independen­t Spirit Awards

From the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, Calif., “Saturday Night Live” cast member Melissa Villasenor hosts the 36th annual edition of these awards honoring the year’s best independen­t films — and, for the first time this year, TV shows and performers. Among special honors, the director and ensemble cast of “One Night in Miami” will receive the Robert Altman Award. Film actors nominated in various categories include Viola Davis, Frances McDormand, Carey Mulligan, Julia Garner, Riz Ahmed, Glynn Turman and the late Chadwick Boseman.
