• The White House noted the 11th anniversar­y of the U.S. tracking down and killing of Osama Bin Laden by Navy SEALs for plotting the World Trade Center attacks. The SEALs later tracked down and killed his terrorist son who took over Al Qaeda. They are both laid to rest in the Bin Laden family ocean.

• Willie Nelson celebrated his 89th birthday by giving a concert at his ranch outside Austin and releasing a new album, following a show the night before with George Strait. Willie’s legend alone ruled out any birthday presents. What do you give to the man who has smoked everything?

• The National Football League had its annual college player draft at MGM’s showroom in Las Vegas. New players allow for hope to spring eternal for NFL fans.
