“Movie: Knives Out”

Writer-director Rian Johnson’s droll murder mystery boasts an all-star cast headed by Daniel Craig as private eye Benoit Blanc, who is hired to investigate the suspicious death of mystery novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) on the evening of his 85th birthday. The dysfunctional relatives in attendance make up a rich array of suspects. Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon and Toni Collette also star.
