Thursday Oct. 6 SCRIPTEASE – SOMETHING SCARY

WHERE: Yuma Art Center’s 270

Black Box Theatre, 270 S. Main St. GOING ON: A short evening of classic ghost stories from Kipling and Dickens – a spooky-scary event in partnershi­p with the AWCTheatre. Attendees are invited to join the motley crew of local actors as they explore (and drink) their way through a few short spooky plays. Costumes are not required but are appreciate­d.

WHERE: Main Street in Yuma GOING ON: The sound of Mexican Music and excitement fills the air from this taco celebratio­n! Enjoy live entertainm­ent, a kids zone, a car show, yard games, cold beer and tacos!

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA FUNDRAISER

WHEN: 4-7 p.m.

WHERE: Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 954 S. 13th Ave., Yuma

GOING ON: A lazy man’s lasagna dinner fundraiser, with Caesar salad and garlic bread, raffle prizes, 50/50 drawing and an open cash bar. Proceeds will benefit the Wreaths Across America program.

Friday Oct. 21 UNDER THE GRAPEVINES

WHEN: 6-9 p.m.

WHERE: Holiday Inn Express, 2044 S. Avenue 3E, Yuma

GOING ON: A fundraiser to benefit victims of trauma through The Healing Journey. The event will feature wine tastings, appetizers and music.

COST: 1 for $30 or 2 for $50 before Sept. 30; 1 for $40 or 2 for $75 after Sept. 30.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
