Aliens and National Ignorance

The concerns of extraterrestrial activity in balloon intercepts, present a totally wrong perspective of the earth, life here, and mankind having been given the earth as a dwelling place (Gen 1:26; Ps 115:16). There are two realms: (1) the heavenly, and God’s creation “other than” the material, and (2) the material universe which includes the earth (Eccl 5:2; Col 1:16). God promised, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease” (Gen 8:22). The material will be done away with when Christ comes (2 Pet 3:10-13). Man will continue to die physically until God determines the end of all material, physical things (I Cor 15:24-26, 54).

Mankind is the culmination of God’s creation He “finished” (Gen 2:1) on the sixth day (Gen 1:1-31) --- there are no space aliens. The vastness of the universe astounds, and speaks of God’s omnipotence (Rom 1:20). Considering the “why” of searches seeking “contact” with alien beings, and planets that might support life --- the thinking is like evolution that goes straight to atheism. What is working here on earth, God’s plan of salvation from eternity through Christ, Eph. 1:4, is being attacked and mocked (I Cor 1:18-25; 2 Pet 3:3-4). The Devil and host of wickedness working to destroy souls, is considered by most to be a myth (I Pet 5:8; Eph 6:10-13). Jesus delivers from God’s wrath to come (I Th 1:10, 5:9). The focus should be on each individual, with the Gospel as the power of God unto salvation (Mk 16:15-16; Rom 1:16), and not a “nation” that might have to fight aliens from outer space!
