August 04, 1942 - February 07, 2024

Terrily Christine Brutke died February 07, 2024 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born the second of five children to Robert A. Brutke and Naomi (Casteel) Brutke on August 04, 1942 in Amity, Oregon and resided there until the age of seven.

In 1949, she moved with her parents to Greenwood, Idaho. Her father was one of two winners from Oregon in a lottery drawing for free land from the Hunt Relocation Camp, where people of Japanese descent were unfairly interned during World War II.

Terrily attended schools in the Hazelton/eden area and married in December 1960. She traveled with her husband to Japan in 1961, where she spent two and a half years. She attended College at the University of Tokyo and later the University of Washington. She also studied art at various private art schools and was a skilled artist and poet. She worked 38 years in the Dental/orthodontic field, ending her career as a manager/financial advisor, then moving from Washington State back to Idaho in 2003.

Terrily loved life and endeavored to live it to the fullest. In 2011 she moved to Yuma, Arizona and enjoyed life as a snowbird, traveling with her friend and companion, Clifford, to many places worldwide she had always wanted to visit , including Australia, Egypt, and Italy. She had eagerly planned a trip to Ireland with her niece, Lonette but a stroke she suffered in December 2019 left that dream unfulfilled. She loved animals, adopting many strays and supporting animal shelters. She said she would have been monetarily richer had she not tried to feed all the wild birds of the world. She was happiest when spending time with her family.
