Ramon Delgado Zuniga Jr. was laid to rest on March 8, 2024 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 8, 1982 at Garfield Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of Carolina Yvonne Phillips and Ramon Delgado Zuniga.

Ramon also known as “Ray” attended school up to the 11th grade at San Pasquel High School in Winterhave­n, California. He resided on the Quechan Fort Yuma Reservatio­n where he lived the majority of his life.

Ray loved to cook, spend time outdoors and to be around his children, family and friends. Ramon was widely known for his numerous never ending jokes; no matter what the topic was. He could never go without showing his love to his favorite sports teams.

Ramon D. Zuniga Jr. is survived by his mother, Carolina Yvonne Phillips; father, Ramon D. Zuniga; children, Raynessa, Raymond, Rayziah Zuniga; brothers, Frankveneg­as, Jonathan Brown; sisters, Danette Joaquin, Michellege­ronimo, Francis Venegas; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 15th 2024 at Yuma Mortuary from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and then continued at the Quechan Big House at 5:00 pm until 5:00 am for Traditiona­l Services and cremation.

Pallbearer­s will be Raymond Zuniga, Frank Venegas, Jonathan Brown, John Shepard, Anthony Shepard, Leo Alvarez, Able Paz Jr., Rufus Cummins, Michael

O'brien, Jason Herva Jr., Draco Geronimo, Gorman Brenner, Colin Taylor, Chazlen Lynwood, Jalen Bohanon, Clifton Angel, Noah Fierro, Donavan, David, Dakota Aragon.

Honorary Pallbearer­s will be Ezekiel Venegas, Ralph Polk, Roderick Hartt, David Phillips, Kenneth Phillips, Emilo Phillips, Adrian Phillips, Michael Aguerro, Frank Coment, Jason Nerva, Joseph Shepard, Robert Shepard, Wallace Dugan, Romen Venegas, Roman Aguerro Jacovian Brown and Royce Martin.
