At the retreat, the council identified the following priorities under each strategic outcome:

SAFE AND PROSPEROUS

Expand efforts related to economic developmen­t

Encourage and attract new industry – zone ready, plan ready

Identify adequate staging for public safety

Annual expenditur­e limitation: seek voter approval for base adjustment

Directiona­l signage on 4th Avenue connecting to downtown

Expansion of public safety infrastruc­ture out east

Increase housing opportunit­ies for all – update regulation­s and processes

Focus on acquiring land for innovation and industrial developmen­t

Enhance collaborat­ion between city and county developmen­t department­s

Beautify the community overall curb appeal/landscape our rights-of-way

Complete parks master plan and determine priority implementa­tion strategy

Establish a trail and bike path connection, partnershi­ps for trail connection­s (irrigation district), establish equitable maintenanc­e partnershi­ps for the Bureau of Reclamatio­n, Arizona Department of Transporta­tion and schools.
