Armand (Mando or Pete to some) Delcid Angulo was born in Yuma, Arizona on September 19, 1933, to Artemisa Delcid and Luciano Martinez Angulo.

A beloved son, husband, father, brother, grandfather (“Tata”), uncle, and friend passed away at 90 years old due to complications and symptoms of Covid 19 pneumonia on March 25, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. He was surrounded and comforted by his loving wife and children.

Armand married the love of his life, Celia Carlon, on November 29,1952. Since that day she became his “queen” and he devoted his life to her happiness and well-being. Armand was a committed father to his family. A family that grew to include five children Arthur, Sandra, Louise, Armand, and Elizabeth.

His commitment to his family was his fuel to work hard and prosper. His career spanned over 46 years starting with the Bureau of Reclamation in 1952. In 1965 he joined the Yuma County Waters Users Association as an Electrical Lineman. In 1985, he and Celia moved to Glendale where he worked as a high voltage lineman, trainer, and supervisor in the Exterior Electric Shop of the 56th Civil Engineer Squadron Operation Flight at Luke Air Force Base. Upon his retirement, on January 2, 1998, he was awarded the Dragon Slayer award for his excellent achievements and loyal dedicated service.

As a masterful storyteller, using impressions that would captivate and hold your attention, Armand loved to recount experiences from his richly varied life. He always made efforts to treat others with kindness and respect. He regarded all as worthy of respect unless they proved otherwise. He could repair any item or learn a new skill after reading about it and apply the new knowledge until he accomplished what goal was set.

Armand epitomized what it means to be a family man. Armand taught us through his words, his actions, and his love how to be an honorable respectful human being including how to be a good partner in life.

Armand was known as our Rock, and was the very foundation of our family. He enjoyed sharing his favorite Irish proverb toast: “May your troubles be less and your blessing be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.” We continue to strive to live up to his example and legacy.

Armand was preceded in death by his parents, Artemisa Delcid Angulo and Luciano Martinez Angulo; and siblings, Gilbert, Fidelia, Mariana, Jose, Hortensia, Jimmy, and Alejandro.

Grieving his loss are his loving wife of 72 years, Celia (Carlon) Angulo; children, Arthur (Rita Angulo), Sandra, Louise (Micheal Moreno), Armand ( Lupe Angulo), and Elizabeth; sisters, Francis Ramirez, and Cecelia Palacio; nephews; nieces; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

The loss of Armand is gravely felt by his entire family, friends and countless others who loved him deeply. We will miss his love, compassion, wisdom, loyalty, and stories. The family greatly appreciates your support during this difficult time. We give special thanks to Armand's granddaughters: Amanda, Nicole and Amber for their loving care of our Dad during our most difficult time.
