Friday
will be providing a variety of “hands on, make ‘n take art projects” for children to do. Families will also have opportunities to learn about available resources in the community. There is no cost to participate in these early education activities that celebrate children and their families.

CITY OF YUMA 110 YEAR CELEBRATION
WHEN: 12-6 p.m.
WHERE: Historic Downtown Main Street, Yuma
GOING ON: Mayor Nicholls will provide opening remarks. The event will include a presentation of colors by the Yuma Police Department, followed by the national anthem as performed by longtime Yuma vocalist Wendy Lobeck Mckay. Yuma officially became a city on April 7, 1914. This will be the first official city birthday party since the weeklong-plus centennial celebration in 2014. There will be dance performances, a Kids Zone and activities by the Yuma Police and Fire Departments.
