Cox wins Yuma Golf and Country Club Women’s Club Championship

Linda Cox won the Yuma Golf and Country Club Women’s Club Championship. Rhea Polhemus was the overall net winner. Flight gross winners were Cathy Clarkson, Elaine Davis and Nikki Johnson. Flight net winners were Sheila Rindal, Gail Duffield and Nancy Rand.

In the Desert Hills Ladies Club individual play flight gross winners were Donna Lalonde and Janis Goll. Flight net winners were Cathy Francis and Karen Gallagher. Carol Flasch won Ace of the Month.

In the Silver League at Las Barrancas Mardy

Clark and Hubert Gartner won gross. Butch Ritten, Tom Scott and Rollie Harris were the net winners. Rusty Wies, Steve Soli, Burt Thatcher and Leroy Rosen were on the winning team.

In the Moose Lodge Scramble at Mesa del Sol the team of WOJO, Diana Bird, Moe Mostad and

Bill Lynch tie the team of Knute Hammer, Peggy Quinn, Jim Flood and Tim Sokolik, both at 6 under par 66.

In Al’s Picks at Mesa del

Sol Marilyn Cotter took first place with Bob Nealer second and Joanna Nealer third. In Krogman’s Follies Norman Berube, Fred Hancewicz, Ken King and Art Scott won with 63 points. Gayle Mabey, Ken Mcneal, Ron Stirler and Rod Donner were second with 62.

In the Wednesday Men’s Twilight League scramble at Mesa del Sol Kody Boyd and John Hodges won gross with a 35. Todd

Birney and Kris Sockwell won low net. In the Ladies Twilight League scramble Terry Mccarthy and Shannon Mason won gross with a 31. Barb Sanders and Trish Schwarzenberger won low net.

In the Mesa del Sol Ladies Club individual flight gross winners were Shannon Mason (80), Marilyn Cotter (87) and Deb Ellison (96). Flight net winners were Selma Cusick, Muriel Scott and

Lorraine Breault.

Men’s Association 3 of 4 best ball Robin Chaffin, Ken King, Michael Celentano and Raymond Butler won with a 7 under par 209. Bob Dickson, Jack Parker, Mike Hanson and Mike Niemi were second at 215. Cliff Weber, Mike Hancock, Brian Mccaffrey and Dale Balmer were third, also at 215.
