2 arrested in Yuma narcotics case
Two people have been arrested in a narcotics case in Yuma.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, at 3 p.m. Thursday, the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force along with additional YCSO investigators, served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 9300 Block of East Saddle Drive in Yuma.
With the assistance of YCSO K-9 Aisha, the search of the residence and the property led to the discovery of approximately 1,767 multi-colored counterfeit M30 pills containing fentanyl with an estimated street value of $7,068 as well as 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of black tar heroin, and multiple items of paraphernalia indicative of street sales, YCSO said.
The suspect of the search warrant, Martin Jesus Rodriguez, 27, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for possession of a narcotic for sales, possession of a narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia numerous counts, YCSO said.
An additional suspect, Rosendo Esquibel, 42, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for possession of a narcotic, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, YCSO said.
“These counterfeit pills, referred to as ‘skittles’ or ‘rainbow’ pills, can contain a lethal dose of pressed fentanyl for someone of any age.
