Border Patrol nds stash house Tuesday

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents discovered a stash house and illegal firearms Tuesday morning. Agents arrested multiple subjects involved in the event, which included seven U.S. citizens, three of which were prohibited firearms possessors, and three Mexican nationals determined to be illegally present in the U.S.

One of the U.S. citizens, a 41-year-old, assaulted an agent during the incident and was turned over to the Yuma Police Department where she will face charges for impeding arrest and assault on a law enforcemen­t officer.

The other U.S. citizens involved in the smuggling incident will face smuggling and firearms charges. One of the Mexican nationals will be charged with reentry after removal and the other two will be processed for return to Mexico.

Group arrested for illegally entering the U.S.

Yuma Station Border Patrol agents recently arrested a group of illegal border crossers who entered the United States from Mexico.

Agents processed the group and turned them over to Enforcemen­t and Removal Operations (ERO) for detention. Yuma Sector Border Patrol is just the first step of the immigratio­n process.
