ASU starting quarterback Rashada enters transfer portal after just one season
TEMPE — Arizona State starting quarterback Jaden Rashada is entering the transfer portal.
Rashada announced his decision on the social plaform X on Thursday, thanking coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff.
“A special thank you to coach Dilly!” Rashada wrote. “One of a kind coach who is the same person every day and cares about the university and his players. Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge of the game with me. With that being said I’ll be entering the transfer portal seeking the best t for my career.”
Rashada initially committed to Miami before decommitting to play at Florida. He was released from his national letter of intent at Florida and transferred to Arizona State.
Lawyers for Nassar assault survivors have reached $100M deal with Justice Department, AP source says
The U.S. Justice Department has agreed to pay approximately $100 million to settle claims with about 100 people who say they were sexually assaulted by sports doctor Larry Nassar, a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
The deal has not been nalized, and no money has been paid, the source said on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak before a formal announcement.
An internal investigation found that FBI agents mishandled abuse allegations by women more than a year before Nassar was arrested in 2016.
Uconn forward Karaban declares for NBA draft while retaining college eligibility
STORRS, Conn. — Uconn forward Alex Karaban announced Thursday that he has declared for the NBA draft while retaining his college eligibility.
Karaban made the announcement on social media, saying his experience at Uconn “has exceeded my expectations.”
The 6-foot-8 sophomore averaged 13.3 points and 5.1 rebounds this season, helping Uconn to its second straight NCAA title.
Goalkeeper Guzmán suspended for 11 games

ned for pointing a laser at fellow goalie Esteban Andrada during a tournament match last weekend, Liga MX announced Thursday.
The 38-year-old Guzmán is recovering from right knee surgery and was in the visiting team’s box at the BBVA stadium in Monterrey last Saturday during the rst half when he pointed the laser in the direction of Andrada, a fellow Argentine and the starting goalkeeper for Rayados.
