Gallegos, Schmunk, Covarubias, Vega win 39th Annual PK Hodges Hospice of Yuma Scramble

Carlos Gallegos, Tom Schmunk, Joe Covarubias and Jose Vega won the 39th Annual PK Hodges Hospice of Yuma Scramble with a 2-day net total 119, 25 under par. Spencer Blohm, Madison Murdock, Dean Wolfe and Tark Rush were second at 120. Mike Schug, Lars Brandt, Nate Schug and Kris Sockwell were third at 122.

In the Desert Hills Ladies Club April 9 individual competitio­n flight gross winners were Cathy Francis and Karen Walker. Flight net winners were Emma Morrison and Karen Gallagher. In the April 16 easiest hole format Shelley Baumann won gross with Debbie Jarman second. Karen Gallagher won low net with Marti Darby-miller second net.

In the Silver League at Las Barrancas Mardy Clark, Marco Viloria and Frank Russell won gross. Ted Mittendorf, Dave Hoffman and Frank Reed were the net winners. Burt Thatcher, David Richelderf­er, Steve Soli and Will Young were on the winning team.

In the Moose Lodge Scramble at Mesa del Sol Judy Beal, Maggie Systima, Dianne Bailey and Keith Swearingen won with a 6 under par 66. Francine Rotert, Diana Bird, Moe Mostad and Tom Atwell were second at 67.

In Al’s Picks at Mesa del Sol Marilyn Cotter took first place with Harry Mckemy second and Jerry Olson third. Brad Rohloff was the unanimous pick, but won nothing. In the Mesa del Sol Ladies Club individual flight gross winners Marci Brock and Jo-anne Lambert. Flight net winners were Deb Peterson and Cookie Little. In the Wednesday Men’s Twilight League scramble at Mesa del Sol Marty Tovaas and Bruce Mckinney won gross with a 34. Kody Boyd and John Hodges were the net winners. In the Ladies Twilight League scramble Deb Jarman and Shannon Mason won low gross with a 32. Barb Sanders and Terry Mccarthy were the net winners. In the Friday Open Twilight League Jonathan Kennedy and Gary Golembiski won low gross with a 32. Jenni and Bruce Mckinney were the net winners.

In the Mesa del Sol Friday Open League 3 of 4 best ball Fred Hancewicz, Carl Johnson, Scott Rinn and Raymond Butler won with an 8 under par 208. Garry Sletten, Ann Weber, Marilyn Cotter and Mike Niemi were second at 213. Clifford Weber, Lola Stone, Don Reaksecker and Harry Mckemy were third at 215.
