Large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan on socio-economic development have been bearing tangible fruits. Consistent support for small business and private entrepreneurship plays an important role.

The resolution of the President of our country on measures to further stimulate the use of production facilities by entrepreneurs, signed February 23, 2017, has afforded a new impetus to the efforts on this front.

The significance of this resolution lies in the fact that from now on, the mechanism of accelerated involvement in economic activities of previously privatized constructionin-process facilities and unused production areas is being introduced. In accordance with the decree, interagency commissions on inventory and identification of unfinished construction sites and unused production areas have been established in all regions. They are also tasked with forming a list of such facilities based on the results of the inventory, developing investment projects jointly with their owners to organize production or service facilities, assisting in their implementation, creating new jobs on this basis.

In Tashkent, extensive work is carried out to implement this document. In particular, more than 370 empty and unused facilities were identified.

As a result of the work done, the Interdepartmental Commission approved 199 investment projects, developed by the owners of these facilities and commercial banks, aimed at the creation of production enterprises and service enterprises. For their implementation, it is planned to attract investments in the amount of 541.5 billion soums and $ 33.8 million, of which 212.2 billion soums and

$ 12.4 million will be attracted through concessional loans from commercial banks. It is expected that due to this, about 6 thousand new jobs will be created.

At present 80 objects are fully put into operation, 61 construction and repair works are being carried out at 61 enterprises. At the same time, 26 enterprises entered into contracts for the acquisition of equipment, and at 24 sites it is established. Total investments were made in the amount of 681.7 billion soums and $ 4.9 million, 2,590 new jobs were created.
